Hotkeys

Hotkeys are extending the possibilities of editing and managing your animation. So make sure your remember some of these ;)

But before we start here are some shortening and terms which are used in further description
LMB - Left Mouse Button is referring to clicking/holding your left mouse button
RMB - Right Mouse Button is referring to clicking/holding your right mouse button
MM - Move Mouse, so you need to move the mouse cursor
MW - Mouse Wheel is the mouse wheel control on your mouse
CTRL - referres to the Control (Ctrl) key on the keyboard
ALT - referres to the Alternate (Alt) key on the keyboard
SHIFT - referres to the Shift key on the keyboard
ENTER - referres to the Enter (Return) key on the keyboard
SPACE - referres to the Spacebar (Space) key on the keyboard
LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN - referres to the direction keys on the keyboard

GENERAL

CTRL + ` - Open/Close dev console. It's useful to monitor echo output and to issue commands.

DRAW EDITOR

SPACE - Play/Stop animation
LEFT - goto previous frame
RIGHT - goto next frame
MW - scroll animation frames
SHIFT + MW - increase/decrease brush size
SHIFT + LMB - start to draw in "add point" fashion, so every next time you click SHIFT + LMB you will add another point to the curve. Is very useful if you want to create clean and well formed shapes

N - insert new frame (if CTRL is hold then frame will be added before current one)
DELETE - remove current frame
SHIFT + DELETE - clear current frame, affects on selected layer(s)
C - copy current frame into CopyBuffer, copy does affect all selected layers
SHIFT + C - adds current frame into CopyBuffer, you can push the same frame multiple times
SHIFT + SPACE - clear CopyBuffer
V - paste frame from CopyBuffer, it will overwrite current content of the frame
SHIFT + V - appends content from CopyBuffer to the current frame
CTRL + ALT + F - flattens current animation. Merges all layers and converts the vector images into Bitmaps. This action can't be undone, so be totally sure you want to do this.
CTRL + I - opens dialog to import image(s) into current frame (as a textured quad). Keeps the original image file, so it's read-only. (creates new animation which does keep all the imported frames)
CTRL + I on flattened frame - opens dialog to import image(s) into current frame. Keeps the original image(s) file, so it's read-only.
CTRL + ALT + I on flattened frame - opens dialog to import image(s) into current frame. Converts the image(s) into editable bitmap (is stored as lossless bitmap)
CTRL + SHIFT + U on flattened animation - encodes all lossless(editable) frames of the animation into JPEG XR images (in general it should be used before publishing your stuff, saves alot of space, and makes it load faster)

D hold - start frame content transformation - displacement
LMB after do MM - mouse controlled frame content displacement
LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN - input based frame content displacement
D release - end frame content transformation - displacement

R hold - start frame content transformation - rotation
LMB after do MM - mouse controlled frame content rotation
LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN - input based frame content rotation
R release - end frame content transformation - rotation

S hold - start frame content transformation - scale
LMB after do MM - mouse controlled frame content scale
SHIFT + LMB after do MM - proportional mouse controlled frame content scale
LEFT, RIGHT - input based frame content scale
UP - flip horizontal
DOWN - flip vertical
S release - end frame content transformation - scale

CTRL + D - remove curve under the cursor
X, RMB - pick curve color under the cursor
CTRL + X, CTRL + RMB - pick color under the cursor (without alpha, just plain color from the bitmap)
SHIFT + X, SHIFT + RMB - replace curve color under the cursor, the new color is get from palette
CTRL + SHIFT + X, CTRL + SHIFT + RMB - replace color of all curves with the same color as picked under the cursor, the new color is get from palette
K - Flood fill tool (experimental* has some issues, but generally works fine)
SHIFT + K - Flood fill tool, on top of current layer (doesn't bring the fill to background)

CTRL + Z - undo last recordable action (the one that does affect the animation directly)
CTRL + SHIFT + Z, CTRL + Y - redo last recordable action

Q - adds current frame to the background (animation specific stuff) where are 2 layers available, so you can add 2 frames to the background
W - clear background

CTRL + LMB after do MM - move drawing canvas
ALT + LMB after do MM - scale drawing canvas
CTRL + ALT + LMB after do MM - rotate drawing canvas
INSERT - resets rotation and scale of the drawing canvas
HOME - centering the drawing canvas

E - Switch between usual and curve editing mode

CURVE EDITING

Double LMB Click on curve point - solely select this point
SHIFT + Drag select - add/remove from selection
MINUS + Drag select - remove from selection
PLUS + Drag select - add to selection
A + Drag select - select the whole curve
RMB - deselect everything

LEFT - goto previous frame
RIGHT - goto next frame

D hold - start curve transformation - displacement
LMB after do MM - mouse controlled curve displacement
LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN - input based curve displacement
D release - end curve transformation - displacement

R hold - start curve transformation - rotation
LMB after do MM - mouse controlled curve rotation
LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN - input based curve rotation
R release - end curve transformation - rotation
